for Tools for School Program
The Tools for School program is a request for the purchase of 350 backpacks for distribution to low income students in South Lake County. The backpacks will contain a variety of school supplies.
for Completion of New Computer Lab
The request is for the purchase of 5 Windows XP Pro operating systems, Rosetta Stone Spanish language software, A.C.E. Math and Science software, desktop computers, cables and headphones. The experience of each student in the new computer lab will vary based upon their diagnostic test results. The new computers will facilitate the implementation of Green Isle’s Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) curriculum.
for Renaissance Academic Awards Program
The premise of the Renaissance Awards Program is to recognize and award students at Gray Middle School for academic achievement, citizenship, and perfect attendance. $1,000 has been pledged from both the School Advisory Council (SAC) and PTO for $2,000 in matching funds. This program is also implemented at Clermont Middle School (Community Foundation Funding). Students are recognized in front of their parents and peers. The goodies don’t hurt either (positive reinforcement for a job well done). Renaissance is intended to improve overall performance and moral.
This is your community foundation, and it is through your support and involvement that we are able to shape the future of South Lake County. Working together, we can invest in our community and help build a strong foundation for generations to come.
