Most of the funds established with the Community Foundation of South Lake County are primarily endowments where the principal is held in perpetuity—in effect—a growth account for the future. Each year, the donor or Community Foundation may designate either all or a portion of the income for charitable organizations in south Lake County or the community of the donor’s choosing. Any remaining income is returned to principal, enabling the fund to grow.

Becky Elswick Education Fund

Established in 2004 for the purpose of enhancing public education in South Lake County.

Pig on the Pond Educational Fund

Supporting organization that organizes the annual "Pig on the Pond" event that enables nonprofit organizations in the South Lake community to raise money for education and scholarships to benefit the residents. Funds raised by Pig on the Pond, Inc. are distributed to the Community Foundation of South Lake County for the awarding of scholarships and awards to local teachers. Other forms of education may be beneficiaries of this fund.

Howard Stockton Memorial Fund

Howard Stockton was a teacher, administrator, founder, executive director, leader, and outstanding citizen. Mr. Stockton’s life was devoted to contributing to the world around him. A scholarship is awarded in his name to a student from the South Lake County community to continue their education.

Frank B. Farr Scholarship Fund

Provides scholarship assistance for residents of the Greater Groveland Historical District in furthering their education.

Green Isle Children's Ranch Fund

Established to support the organization’s mission in perpetuity.

Hospice Patient Care Fund

Assists in the implementation of Hospice patient programs within Lake and Sumter counties.

Jay Vander Meer Board of Directors Fund

Established to receive gifts for education and health and wellness.

Shaw Buck Athletic Scholarship Fund

Established in 1993 in recognition of Groveland High School coaching legend Shaw Buck, the Shaw Buck Athletic Scholarship awards $1,000 each year to a graduating South Lake High School athlete. Recipients must meet the scholarship’s academic criteria and hold a letter in one sport.

Cooper Memorial Library Association Endowment

Established by the Cooper Memorial Library Association, Inc. to purchase books for the Cooper Memorial Library.

Community Foundation of South Lake County Board of Directors Fund

Established to support the mission of the Community Foundation.

South Lake Junior Women's Club Fund

Assists in the implementation of the Junior Woman’s Club’s organizational goals and objectives.

South Lake Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Fund

Established in 2004 to provide annual scholarships to south Lake County High School seniors who plan to attend Lake Sumter Community College. Recipients must meet both financial need and academic eligibility requirements.

Lew Burdette Fund

Brawley Family Fund

Established in 2009 to support nonprofits.

Lucille A. Smith Fund

Endowment Fund established in 2009 to support Habitat for Humanity Lake–Sumter FL, Inc. initiatives in South Lake County.

Clermont-Minneola Lions Club Fund

Established in 1998, the fund is used for Clermont-Minneola Lions Club Hearing and Eyesight initiatives.

Don Wickham Fund

Designated for charitable purposes in memory of Donald Wickham.
